In January 14 Uzbekistan has widely celebrated the Defenders of the Motherland Day and the 18th anniversary of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

On the occasion of these important dates the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov has sent his festive greetings to Motherland defenders. The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov stressed that in recent years in Uzbekistan the huge work has been implemented on construction of the Armed Forces and the formation of national army that meets modern requirements and standards and is the reliable guarantor of independence, security and territorial integrity of the country.
